Hotels & BNBs: How to Wipe (Some of) Your Competitors Off The Google Map

Guidance on https://support.google.com & www.localguidesconnect.com (the community forum from Google for people who share reviews, photos, and knowledge on Google Maps) states that rental or for-sale properties, such as holiday homes, show homes or serviced apartments aren’t eligible for a Google Map business listing if they don't have onsite management . From my research it appears that many of these are on the Google Map. GOOG isn't doing a good job here!

So you can report these businesses to Google – the best way to do this appears to be ‘Tell us about an error’ on : https://support.google.com/maps/answer/3094088?co=GENIE.Platform%3DDesktop&hl=en . Localguidesconnect.com guidance recommends 'suggesting an edit' that the Map listing 'never existed' ( https://support.google.com/maps/answer/7084895 ) but you can give more detail about the ineligible business by the aforementioned means of ‘Tell us about an error’.

I always found being a 'tittle-tattle' made me very popular in the playground :)
