How To Find Your Unlinked Google Knowledge Graph List Mentions

The search phrase in the image above has a monthly search volume of 140 in the USA in Google. Note I've broken some hyperlinks below.

It is not possible at time of writing (27.11.24) with ANY SEO tools to track unlinked mentions in Google Knowledge Graph "best"-type list results listed as "from sources around the web" to the best of my knowledge. These list results appear to be aggregations of other "best"-type lists online - the 3rd party lists used can be seen in the citations when you expand the result in question (see above) . I've not seen the citations or the link for the company logo link to the websites of the companies listed.

I've seen these type of results displayed for multiple "top ... agencies"-type searches for example . You may have to guess based on the info here what type of searches you might appear for in Knowledge Graph results if you haven't already found an example of the type of phrase you are already visible for (note results may vary based on searcher's location). New / small businesses may be unlikely to be found as *notable* "entities" in these type of results without engaging in webspam.

The citation pages sometimes rank well too below the Knowledge Graph results for the search phrases in question (from what I'm seeing) and thus we can use SEO tools to identify the phrases the citation pages rank for and do manual checks of the SERPs that the citation pages rank for to identify what phrases the Knowledge Graph lists are being displayed for, and if a particular company name is mentioned.

So for example by checking the Google UK visibility of the URL on cloudways .com seen in the screenshot above I can see that (different) Knowledge Graph results are also being displayed (at times) for phrases including "best social media marketing firms" (260 monthly searches on Google UK) and "top marketing firms" (390 - these list results differ when searched from US and UK) from a check in my browser - this is not an exhaustive list. The above screenshot is of these listings with the result expanded (with citations visible) for the listing for the company "Disruptive Advertising".
