The internet is a space where many of us think everything should be free, but that mindset has a cost. We need to support content creators of all sizes, and quality journalism is a pillar of democracy.
I do this in various ways including clicking on the Outbrain.com promoted links on https://www.theguardian.com/uk marked ‘Promoted links from around the web. Recommended by Outbrain’. The Guardian gets revenue when these links are clicked.
I choose to click on these ads as the other ads on this site are mainly Google ads (sometimes you’ll see these even in the Outbrain section) with a Doubleclick.net URL and personally I don’t want to click on Google ads.
